Located in the heart of the city, the Adelaide Smart City Studio’s goal was to help identify and generate commercial opportunities for creative innovators and support their endeavours to build compelling smart city solutions.
The campaign saw the Council working with the State Government of South Australia, University of South Australia and Flinders University to showcase the City’s credentials as a creative, connected and intelligent city. Adelaide even featured as one of the world’s Smart Cities in a National Geographic television documentary series.
The Council was looking for a campaign that broke away from its corporate branding guidelines, and that presented the city as ultra modern, fresh and sleek. The audience for the campaign included thought leaders in Adelaide, across Australia and around the world, and so the design was created to match their expectations about Adelaide as a Smart City.
